New Coach Sets Values For His Team This year's football team un- derwent many changes. First of all, the team was introduced to a new coach — Mr. Orr. Coach Orr set many goals for our young and growing team. A great part of life is working and struggling to succeed, only to find that, along the road to success, there are pitfalls which falter us briefly and cause us to pick ourselves up, regroup, and continue goalward. This is Coach Orr's philosophy, and this is how he held his team, our team, together this year. Our team faced obstacles and outrageous odds each week, but kept on meeting the challenges of individual, team, and program improve- ment. This year's team has started the firm foundation from which future teams can grow. The most important factor achieved by this year's Blue Streak football squad was not the 1-9 won-lost record, but the post 1-9 attitude that remains. The rebuilding of the erosion of the attitude and morale over the past years is now in the process of happening, and with Coach Orr's idea of creating a high morale for future develop- ment, it looks as though Madi- son can again become a league contender.
