Sherry Nash is crowned Homecoming queen. October 16 marked the annual Madison Home- coming football game. The Blue Streaks hosted Ashtabula Harbor in the game in which the Streaks were upset with a score of 36-14. However, this defeat did not seem to greatly mar the enthusiasm of the crowd for the Homecoming Dance, held the evening of Saturday, October 17 During halftime the Homecoming candidates circled the football field riding in convertibles. As each candidate descended from her car, she was met and escorted by her father to the center of the field. Finally, as expectations reached their climax, Miss Sherry Nash was named the 1964 Homecoming Queen. A bouquet of red roses was presented to the queen by Ted Kowalczk. Mem- bers of the queen's court were Linda Horton, Linda Matteson, Linda Tatar, and Sherrie Waterman. Topping off this eventful weekend was the Home- coming Dance held the following evening. The auditorium cafeteria was decorated in blue, white, and varying shades of pink. The high point of the evening was the crowning of Queen Sherry by Rick Dingus. After the coronation, the queen and her escort, Gary Fedele, began a dance, with the other members of the court and their escorts, and finally all of the other couples, joining in. The Art Ramsey Combo provides music for the evening. The queen's attendants and their escorts included: Linda Horton and Chuck Cimino, Linda Matteson and Ted Brunson, Linda Tatar and Tom Hoffman, and Sherrie Waterman and Ron Grapatin. Seniors having a good time.
