Tina Mayhew—Head Majorette Barbara Glavin MARCHING BAND Anyone who attends Madison football games knows the thrill of seeing and hearing the Madison Memorial High School Marching Band as they march onto the field. Neither rain nor sleet nor snow nor dark of night” stop these players from their formations. Under the field direction of Head Majorette, Tina Mayhew, the band, by some mysterious power, transforms a clutter of kids into a moving clock or a boat or a script M. Many of these shows used during the year are originated and organized each summer at Band Camp. Here the band members under the direction of Mr. Joseph Acerra, band director, toil for a week to be ready for the first football game. The new raincoats purchased this year were put to good use when the band marched in the rain at one of the games. Officers of the band include; president--Kathy Buttwin, vice presi- dent—Dick Knape, and secretary-treasurer—Susie Shelton. Theresa Blouin 8
