SENIOR YEAR SPECIAL As we entered our senior year, we wondered what made it so special. We gained no prestige or respect or any of the things we thought we would have as seniors. It had the sameness of any year except for the fact that we would be leaving a way of life. We were gaining our freedom whether we wanted it or not. Although it would be an end to twelve years of to- getherness, it would be the beginning of a new, adventuresome way of life, because we would be on our own. From now on there would be few guide- posts. We have come a long way following our guides—our teachers, advisers, and senior classes. They guided us to knowledge; it was up to us to make it our own. In our class projects we have had reasonable success. We hope that in the following years, other senior classes will have as much success as ours has had.
