Sledlcatum Whenever a new yearbook staff is formed, each member of the staff is quite determined that the book he works on will be the best. We were no exception. We wanted to do away with some of the old stand by traditions. We wanted to expand our yearbook and modernize it to go with our High School of 1956, constantly changing. Consequently, one of the first things that we decided was the idea of Progress as our theme. This we symbolized by the use of wheels represented on the cover and throughout the book’s pages. The end papers show the blue prints of our present and future building additions. Many outstanding changes have been made in our Cauldron. Our dedication was not to single out and honor one individual, but rather to seek out the source of our progress, that everyone may become more aware of to whom we owe this change. We realize that our growth is due to the perspective of our community. Therefore, the 1956 Cauldron staff, with great respect wishes to pay tribute to the Madison Community by dedicating our yearbook to them. As the Senior closes another door in the process of learning, the realization that many new doors are still to be opened, faces him. Soon he will put to test the value of the knowledge acquired during the past four years. Now, more than ever before, he must begin to decide how he will cope with the situations and problems of a rapidly changing world. Our yearbook is the link between the accomplishments of the past, and known and unknown hurdles to be jumped and goals to be achieved, in the future. 4
