The Student Council of 1943-44 was inactive during the first semester, ities. A volleyball program was arranged in February by our athletic com- mittee. Locker inspections were conducted by our Service Committee. Our officers were Robert Elmore, President; Margaret Keyse, Vice- President; Lillian Busch, Secretory; and Sheldon Whipple, Treasurer. Mr. Trescott was our adviser. The Scholarship Club this year has seventeen members. The Club had fine leadership throughout the year with Louise De Rubertis as President; Doyle Woodworth, Vice-President; Jane Kubach, Secretary; and Jonnie Lahti, Treasurer. Edwin Homburg was elected President of the Lake County Scholarship Club for the coming year. In February the Club attended the banquet at Mentor and heard a very interesting talk on 'The Second Mile by Dr. Wickenden, President of Case School of Applied Science. A special program was held to defray the club's expenses. Members again enjoyed the privilege of staying out of study halls if they wished. but during the second semester plans were made for improving school activ- twenty-threc
