A year at the top continued from page 3 With finals behind them and new classes to dive into, they began to anticipate that winter was here to stay. Christmas break arrived like a blessing in disguise, and students were unleashed for an 1 1 day vacation. Girls basketball proved to be a tough competitor wherever they played. Wrestling improved a little but still strugggled from a lack of participation. Boys basketball provided crowds with breathtak- ing games as they battled in the toughest district in the state trying to earn a berth to the playoffs. Dur- ing halftime at home games, the bobcadettes capti- vated the crowd with their marching. Spring sports were often lost in the excitement of spring fever and the thoughts of summer not far off. Tennis, golf, track, and baseball all took place but with less enthusiasm then earlier in the year. Seniors became edgy as graduation loomed closer. School began to wind down as finals were taken, and books handed in. Seniors were checked out and school seemed almost empty to those underclassmen still attending. Graduation was over and school was out and looking back they realized that it was everything they expected and ... a little bit more. 4 Opening

The time of their lives A rush of activities, schoolwork, and breathtaking games created the ever- lasting memories that students would know as the time of the their lives. Exciting games, well-planned dances, and schoolwork made each student ' s life similar but different. Going to football, basketball, volley- ball, and baseball games was one of the favorite pastimes of students and faculty members. Games were often very excit- ing because of the rugged competition in the Gem State Conference. Dances were an important part of school life and the students could usually attend at least two a month. Doing homework wasn ' t the most pop- ular way to spend time but it was the most common. Ninety percent of all time related to school was either in the class- room or doing homework. While students were individuals in their own right, they all were pulled clos- er together by the different activities they participated in. More activities and better planning made student life a little bit more than ever before.
