Hofite ccjfn CcuHcil The Home Room Council was established to work with the Student Council in prob- lems relating to student life. They were organized to meet demands for a rapidly expand- ing school program. The activities of this body have increased and their field of action has expanded. Each Home Room of the school is represented by a member on the council; who takes the problems of his Home Room to the council at their weekly meetings. All student problems are shared in common when discussed in this manner. This makes for a system of cooperative efficiency in the directing of student affairs. Council The Student Council has made a record this year of which it is justly proud. A new constitution was drawn up and rati- fied, a handbook was published, many dances were sponsored, and several very good lyceums were presented to the stu- dents. The Council has ever been alert to the needs and desires of the Student Body and has promoted understanding and good will among the students. Third Row — A. E. As students enter Madison High School, they step across the threshold of idealism with aims high; with purpose resolute. Each soon becomes an integral part of the insti- tution; each accepts a share of the responsibility of governing their school, and of sustain- ing its standards. If their conduct is motivated by a sincere desire to progress in all phases of learning; to make each succeeding year an ensign of triumph to those that follow; the years spent in the environment of a democratic school will have been profitable and happy. The exit will be a march of satisfaction, and their confidence will be buoyed by the finer things which have become part of their character. LeRoy Anderson, President of the Student Body, and Chairman of the Student Council, has promoted many worth while activities during the year. All the officers deserve much credit for their splendid efforts in maintaining a democratic spirit and furthering those things which promote good citizenship.
