School spirit, team work, good work habits, and proper attitudes are among the basic factors in building good citi- zens for a great nation. As members of the student body, you have had many educational experiences that should fit you in a practical way for better living. May our solidarity be bound more firmly by fond memo- ries of school days at Madison. Sincerely, A. E. Teuscher

As world conditions begin to adjust themselves toward more nearly normal pre-war conditions, it becomes more apparent that a high school training is important and necessary for nearly all youth. Many jobs in industry require high school graduation. Business and professional courses require high school training. But aside from the re- quirem ents which are made of youth by society and industry, high school experiences are very important. The friendships formed in high school and the adjustments made during that period are among the most important and significant accomplishments of life. I congratulate you on your achievements during the school year of 1948-49. I am sure your Madisonian will help you to retain the memory of many of the more important things of the year and to re-live them again in the future. May it point also to a future filled with the joy of accomplishment and service. Best wishes to each student of Madison High School and success to all of you. Most sincerely, E. S. Stucki, ' Superintendent. OUR SCHOOL BOARD Left to right — T. Raymond Payne, Ferrell Rock, G. Alton Anderson, Chairman; Ronald Hill, Leonard Smith, Willis J. Lyman, Secretary.
