SITTING, LEFT TO RIGHT: Frank Thompson, Class Representative; Lester J. STANDING: Maureen Ricks, Vice-President; Verl Arnold, Athletic Manager; Mr. C. D. Cooper, Sophomore Class Adviser; Yuriko Shiratori, Secretary. The outstanding events of the sophomore year were the Sophomore Frolic and Sophomore Week. Sophomores, each year, try to bring some message to the student body that will make students more happy, more friendly, and give them an appre- ciation of some of the better things of life. This year ' s motto for the week was Stepping Stones to Better Living. One step for each day of the school week. On each step was a motto that made students think of better things for a happier life. The Sophomore Frolic was a carnival dance that will always be remembered as one of the select events of the school year. The old gang was all together, and in after years students will still remember the Sophomore Frolic. We as sophomores have appreciated our associations and the friends we have made. May we have better times, more loyal friends, and a fuller understanding of the meaning of life 28
