Smilin ' Through This report was taken from the Rexburg Standard, February 3rd. The Madison High School made a big hit with the people of the county last Monday night when a cast from the Student Body so suc- cessfully and completely captured the audience in the presentation of Smilin ' Through. Every seat in the High School Auditorium was filled and many remained standing during the production. More than 500 people witnessed the big play. The audience showed its appreciation by the tense and sympathetic atmosphere and general hearty applause. The audience was so enthusiastic about the success of the play that the general favorable comment occupied the public mind for a number of days after the production. The play was full of beauty, emotional thrills and good acting. Praise be to Miss Geneva Langlois and the members of the entire cast who worked so hard to give the people of Madison County a fin- ished production equal to that of professionals. The play was even more successfully played in Rigby a few weeks later. Enough money was cleared on Smilin ' Through to pay for the curtains for the stage of the High School Auditorium.
