Closely following this came the annual Homecoming parade, and Christmas parades in Madison and Leaksville, Then Christ- mas holidays and midterm exams. As a breather from exams, the bands capable officers, Siggie Smith, Presidentg Dean Sharpe, Vice President, Toby Barrier, Secretary-Treasurerg and Linda Cardwell, Chairman of Entertainment, organized a party for the band mem- bers and their dates. A pleasant time was had by all. The annual winter concert was presented with the high school and eighth grade choruses on February 12. Various duets and ensembles filled in between the band special- ties. This concert was the first program to be presented in the school auditorium since the purchase of new curtains for the school. The proceeds of the program went to help the P. T. A. in paying for the new curtains. The band anticipates two more concerts this year, probably in conjunction with the high school chorus and eighth grade chorus.
