H JUNIOR CLASS J. OFFICERS President Leon Tucker Vice-President Patsy Sharpe Secretary Delphine Wall if mr Treasurer Nancy Price Reporter Eunice Dodson ffm Bright and early on September 17, 1948, a group of lost adolescents entered the halls of Madison High for their first torturing, hair-pulling hours, wandering around like wild geese in a snow storm. Mr. Cure and Mr. Guiton, our Freshman Sponsors, finally came to the rescue. To us they were like bones to a starving dog. Our boys won the Interclass Tournament in basketball and in the Spring we went on a picnic and swimming party at Reynolds Park. Our Second year was a bit more eventful, with Miss Epps and Mrs. Fagge as our Sponsors. In October we went to Chapel Hill to the Morehead Planetarium and in the Spring we gave the Seniors a Weiner roast at Hawkins Pond. Class night we carried the daisy chain. By now many of our girls and boys were married and departed our midst. Our Junior year began with excitement in the air. This was the year for the Junior-Senior Ban- quet. Everyone looked forward to the plans that would be made regarding the banquet. Our three years in high school have been prosperous ones for each and everyone of usg we are looking forward to another even better. .i l2+l
