A. strives toward one goal, to develop rural cooperation, rural. leadership, and the ability to make farming a successful enterprise. Last fall it was decided to have a home room which would consist of boys interested in F. F. A. work. When we organized, we made out a program wxhich we have carried out during the school year. First on our program was the organi- zation of degree teams. These teams initiated many members into the F. F. A. in various towns in Lenawee County. In November the F. F. A. chapter was given the privilege of selling refreshments at the annual Monroe-Adrian football game. November 30 eleven members of the chapter and our instructor, Mr. Clark, left for a four-day trip to the International Live Stock Show in Chicago. Many interesting things were seen, such as the Swift Packing Plant, the Livestock Show in the New Arena at the Stock Yards, and the Marshall Field Department Store which is the largest in the world. January 9 the Adrian Chapter entertained the schools of Lenawee County for an annual all-county F. F. A. meet. Thirty-seven candidates from various schools were raised to the grade of Future Farmers, eight from Adrian receiving the degree. The speaker for the evening was Mr. Robert Linton of Michigan State College. February 25 the annual F. F. A. Father and Son banquet was held at the Rome Grange. Fifty-six attended. The speaker was our own state F. F. A. adviser, Mr. Gallup. In March the members of the F. F. A. prepared talks on high school life to present to boys and girls of rural schools. The members of the chapter believe that our success in F. F. A. work is due to the cooperation of the students in our home room, and to the capable guidance of our friend and teacher, Mr. Clark.
