On the student affairs committee, Ruth Mowat, Margaret Anderson, and Richard Tompson were chosen. Our class selection of oiiicers for this year was as follows: Harold Westerman, president, Alan Rorick, vice-president, Lillian Becker, treasurer, Ruth Harris, secretary, and Sam Beal, sergeant-at-arms. VIDEMUS We saw, A beautiful Junior Prom, planned and carried out by Miss Hendrickson, our class adviser, with the help of Lillian Becker, Jean Smith, Margaret Anderson, and Raymond James, will be remembered a long, long time. Many of us will also remember the freshman party last year. We made our iirst stab at dancing at that time l There are thirteen junior boys in the Future Farmers Association. 9 7 3

Junior Rourke, Harold Westerman, Dick Tompson, Harvey Jackson, Hal Marshall, Sam Beal, and Donald Nelson are some of our boys who have made a mark for themselves in football this season. With the championship basketball squad were the following juniors: Elwood Hadden, Dick Tompson, Harold Wester- man, Harvey Jackson, and Oliver Haracourt. There were also familiar junior faces on the tennis team. However, athletics was not the only field in which we were active. Over one-third of the A Cappella choir were members of our class. We also smothered the Band and Orchestra with forty-two of our classmates. In debating and oratory we excelled as Lillian Becker won the local Declamation contest and Marguerite Laimen placed fourth in the state dramatic reading contest. We are justly proud of James Morse who was a member of the first debating team for two years, also of Wendell Arnold who carried off fourth place in the state oratorical contest. Six members of our class helped to make the Maple Leafv a success this year. Carl Lofberg served as managing editor, for the first semester, and Doyle Zimmer- man for the second semester. Everyone enjoyed Douglas Wade's feature articles. Carolyn Thompson was our junior class editor and Sam Beal told us all about the athletic activities. The music notes for the paper were written by Margaret Anderson. In conclusion, we think that we have proved our ability during these two years and we are now ready to step into the departing seniors' shoes and to gain heights not yet attained by us. 1
