By ranking first in the state they have brought honor to both the school and the community. The Madison High School chapter has to their advantage the capable leadership of Mrs. B. H. Eldridge, who holds the position of sixteenth coach in the nation. In order to obtain membership in the National Forensic League, one must have earned a minimum of 25 points. Officers are also chosen according to the number of points earned. There arc a variety of activities in which Forensic League members participate. Among these include the NFL Dis- trict Tournament, held in April, and the Tennessee Speech and Drama League in which winners qualify for state tour- naments. Forensic Club Headed by President Robin Green, the Forensic Club has shown that now, as in the past, it is a very successful organiza- tion. The Forensic Club has always been a top contender in the over-all Metro competition for the past 15 years. These Are the Men Behind the Team Many people watch the football games during the season and learn to identify certain players by their numbers or their personal habits, but how many ever recognize the important people standing on the sidelines? These are the men who make the team a success or a failure. J , E Juniors Keep Moving Along The days grow shorter, the nights grow longerg The headstones thicken along the wayg And life grows sadder, but love grows stronger For those who walk with us day by day. Throughout this year of 1976 the Junior class has proved a great stronghold. Planning the Junior-Senior Prom, the Christmas food can drive, and generating good school spirit have been only a few of their many accomplishments. Leading the Juniors this year were three hard working class officers. They are: President Randy Freyg Vice-President John Stephenson, and Secretary Suzie Winchester, All three have given willingly their time and efforts to make this .lunior class one of the best Madison has had.
