Our class officers that year were: President: Donnie Pollard Secretary: Charlie Walters Vice-President: Ronnie Hill Treasurer: DuNard Cooper Sponsor: Mr. Frank Humphrey August 30, 1954, twenty-two Sophomores enrolled. During this school year an outstanding student, DuNard Cooper, was selected from our class to attend the annual Sophomore Pilgrimage in Jefferson City. In the early spring Julia HWi11ieH Thomas joined our class, She came to Madison from Mattoon, Illinois. Class officers for 1954-55 were: President: Larry VanSkike Sec.-Treas:Donnie Pollard Vice-President: Hurmon Hendren Sponsor: Mrs. Doris Harmon Again on August 30, but in 1955, our class enrolled twenty in number. Betty Campbell, Carol Campbell, and Myrna Graves were not here and shortly after school started three other members changed schools or quit. They were Donald Baker, Charlie Walters, and Sam Embree. This year we worked to earn money for anticipated expenses. We had charge of the lunch stand at all home basketball games.
