I of Par1s boys to L1nda Cornica I, R1chard Peterson, do w1ll and bequeath my ab1l1ty to get along w1th the Engl1sh teacher to Frank1e Houchlns, and my bookkeeplng book to anyone who 1S smart enough to take lt I, J1mmy Southern, do w1ll and bequeath my basketball su1t to Ronnle H111 and my typ1ng ab1l1ty to Dav1d P1erce I, Nancy Sudsberry, Patty Woods I, Tommy Wood, do w1ll and g1rls to Larry Johnston The forego1ng document by the Sen1or Class of 1956 1D the year of our Lord one w1ll and bequeath my love for shorthand to and bequeath my school books, motor scooter, was s1gned, sealed, publ1shed and declared of Madison H1gh School on the fourth day of May thousand and nine hundred and f1fty s1x, as and for our Last W1ll and Testament Class Prophecy I was 1D my Jet propel tak1ng my trlp over the world, a tr1p wh1ch I take every ten years As I was gett1ng t1red of the h1gh alt1tude and my get needed some fuel, I landed at a new a1rport wh1ch I had never seen be fore Th1s happened to be the new Mad1son, M1ssour1 A1rport Just as stepped out of the Jet someone snapped my p1cture When the blur was gone from my eyes I recognlzed Tommy Jones Tommy and I began a conversatlon and he told me he had been tak1ng group pictures at the old h1gh school bu1ld1ng When he saw the unusual look1ng plane com1ng 1D for a land1ng he dec1ded to take a snapshot of lt I asked h1m about some of the other class mates He sa1d Bob and Frankl1n Alexander were runn1ng a hatchery down town and were hatchlng a new color ch1ck they could attract the g1rls that I dec1ded to Journey downtown I walked by the school and there, tak 1ng care of the f1rst grade, was Betty Martxn Betty yelled at me and told me she was st1l1 wa1t1ng for a certain sold1er I went downtown and stopped at the cafe for a cup of coffee There I found Gary Dav1s runn1ng the cafe Gary sa1d he had plenty of chances to play the p1n ball mach1ne and 11sten to the Juke box Wh1le I was s1tt1ng there, a couple of bachelors, J1mmy K1rtley and R1chard Peterson, came 1D for the1r lunch Their lunch was prepared very carefully by the cook, Marcella Kramer J1mmy told me that JUD1Or Hogan had marr1ed a Cairo g1rl and was l1v1ng 1n Ca1ro Richard sa1d that J1mmy Davenport had dec1ded wh1ch of h1s old g1rlfr1ends he wanted to marry, but d1dn't tell me Just exactly wnlch one lt was As I was leav1ng the cafe, T ran face to face w1th Joe McCall and h1s w1fe, the former W1ll1e Thomas They told me they had brought the1r cream and eggs to town to txe Southern Feed and Produce, now owned by J1mmy Southern They asked me f I knew that gone to Colorado to help her husband 1D become of Max1ne Down1ng Joe sa1d she her 1H1t131S and she was now a nurse at Phyllls Bassett had marr1ed and h1s mus1c stud1o I asked what had had marrled but she hadn't changed one of the Moberly hosp1tals S1nce she was so good 1n shorthand, she had had no trouble 1n gett1ng the Job do ' - . . . , . . . . . . .
