Jane Botkins Vice-President Barbara Burke Sponsor Mrs. Doris Harmon Frieda Campbell was selected to represent our class and school at the annual Sophomore Pilgrimage to our State Capitol, August 30, 1954, twenty-eight of us enrolled as Juniors. Barbara Burke dropped from our class roll shortly after the end of the first semester. Our class officers for 1954-55 were: President Charles Manuel . Sec.-Treas. Frieda Campbell Vice-President Maxine Downing Sponsor Miss Nancy Moss Our play, HCrazy But Cuteu, was presented April 8, 1955. The theme for our banquet was nMoonlight and Rosesn. Well, on August 30, 1955, the stage was set for the final curtain when we enrolled as Seniors. We had a new class member, Irvin Lute, from Battleground, Washington. At the middle of the year Bob Wheeler went back to Warrenton. Frieda Campbell and Beverly Young had become Mrs. Bob Holohan and Mrs. Jim Holohan during the past summer but they came back to complete their high school work. Our class officers were: President Charles Manuel Secretary Jane Botkins Vice-President James Brooks Treasurer Phyllis Bassett Sponsors: Mrs. Doris Harmon and Mr. Howard Skinner During the year the class worked as a group to earn money for a proposed Senior trip. We sponsored a chili supper, two square dances, a donkey basket ball game, sold boxed candy before Christmas, and planned for a play. As the yearbook goes to press, we have not learned anything definite about our Senior trip, but plans point to a one day student educational tour to Chicago via train. Our final activities of the year will be Baccalaureate and Commencement. We have been told that Dr. Glenn F. Leslie from the Northeast Missouri State Teachers College in Kirksville will be our Commencement speaker. On May ll, 1956, our journey through high school was completed. In re- calling our high school days, we are reminded of many happy times and some sadness, but if all our life is no worse than our days in school were, we shall get along nicely in this big world.
