II ll -H earn TOP ROW Jimmy Holohan Weldon Bird James Brooks David Pierce Gary Davis BOTTOM ROW Donnie Davis George Ludwig Bob Riley fCaptainJ Jimmy Southern Tommy Wood The Panthers started the season with only two regular players from last season. They were Riley, who was a regular starter, and Holohan, who saw limited play. The team was composed of four seniors, four juniors, and two freshmen. The boys did not play any spectacular ball, but played games that were of interest to watch and some were close games, as the records show. All the boys played ball to the best of their ability, but we feel we should not fail to mention the fine performances of Bobby Riley--the team captain and a senior. Bobby was the spark plug of the team, was a high scorer, and four times he made forty points or more per game. Players besides Bob who will graduate this spring are Bird, Holohan, and Ludwig.
