glass prophecy fl 'Q' 3- 2-f M u f ffl 99' MXN 'ibm I was runnung my usual route transportung people from Juprter to Mars when somethung went wrong wuth my space shup and I went hurlung out unto unknown space The next thung I knew I was clumbung out of my space-shup onto what looked luke the planet called Earth The furst thung I notuced when I was furmly settled on solud ground wm a bug sugn whuch read Burd Daury Farm led to a huge house and a rather large farm I was curuous to fund out whether or not thus had any connectuon wuth the Weldon Burd I used to know un school so I went to the house and knocked on the luttle gurls wuth real black haur After a lengthy duscussuon about humself, Weldon began tellung me about a few of our old class mates He told me that Darlene Eads was also marrred and had fave chuldren She had marrued one the most promunent busunessmen of Madrson He also told me that Joyce Elsberry had become Dean of Nurses ot one of the larger clunucs un the country Fundung myself so near, I thought I had better wander on unto Madrson Wufh that thoudut un mund I left the Burd Daury Farm and started toward town As I was lust enterung Madrson I heard someone yell at me and when I looked across the street I saw a face that looked famuluar yes now lknew It was Mary Lou Foster and she told me she had put her brauns to work and was employed by the U S Government un Washungton D C , and was home to vusut her parents for a short whule I frnally got away from Mary Lou and had gust gone a block when I saw two people a man and woman go unto a grocery store I decuded to follow them and see uf ut was who I thought ut was I had gust stepped msude the store when Wanda Hartman and her husband Herbert Hyatt rushed up to greet me They told me they were hcppuly marrued and luved on a small farm lust outsrde of town Wanda saud she was bookkeeper for one of the small busuness furms rn Madrson to supplement the famuly uncome Vlrhule I was standung there talkung to them md gettung all the news, I happened to thunk about Jrmmy Holohan and so I asked them about hum They told me that Jrmmy had marrued hus hugh school sweetheart, Beverly Young, and they were luvung on a farm east of Madrson lt seemed that Jrmmy was un the process of developung a new type of turnup -one that grew un assorted colors Jummy sard they would be more qupetrzung that way thus tume I was gettung thursty so I excused myself and went unto the famuluar drug store A pert luttle wautress cane up to me and took my order I knew thrs gurl at once ut was Lenora Scnner I found out that Lenora was lust workung two days a week un the drug store The rest of the week she mcnaged her beauty salon l gathered she was doung quute well My coke was now maxed to perfectron so I took ut and sat down by a pretty young womcru whom I soon recognuzed as Kay Krrtley I chatted wrth her awhule md found out that she was goung ll 4 .
