Past Events 0 the Class 0 52 On September 7 1948 mneteen green Freshmen gathered ln study hall at Mad1son All felt rather self conscxous during the first weeks of school however we soon became a part of the student body and partlclpated ln the actwltles Our class officers were as follows presldent Howard Rlles v1ce presldent Donnme VanBuren secretary treasurer jo Ann Glaser student councll Sh1rley McMorr1s and sponsor Mr Kerr A new member johnny Hart enrolled ln March and our class party was held March 18 Games were played and refreshments were served On September 5 1949 seventeen s1lly Sophomores came back to Madlson H1gh jack Hayden moved to Clarence but h1s loss was regalned when jaunlta Ragsdale moved here from Pans Th1s year our class off1cers were presldent B1lly Games vlce presldent Donnie VanBuren secretary treasurer Arlen Wood and sponsor Mrs Swartz Our class party was a hayr1de and w1ener roast at Salt Rlver Later ln the year johnny Hart moved to Sturgeon and lmmy Flelds Jomed the Navy A new member Marv1n Hultz enrolled later ln the year On August Z8 1950 flfteen Jolly jurnors enrolled ln school and they were all glad to be back We chose as our class offrcers pres1dent Delmar Embree vlce pres1dent Arlen Wood secretary treasurer Shlrley McMorr1s sponsor M1ss Mutersbaugh Our class membersh1p thls year was ln a constant state of flux Bllly Games moved to Moberly Shortly after school started Delmar Fmbree went to the Army and Sh1rley lNlcCann moved to Holllday johnny once agam enrolled Later m the year Don Rlley moved to Mllan and Howard Rlles moved to Callforma Our class party was held on September l lt was a hayrlde and wlener roast at Salt Rwer The junlors presented thelr very successful play The Bralnstorm n February 10 We eng oyed preparlng a Hawauan theme for our un1or Senlor Banquet On August Z7 1951 thxrteen very d1gn1f1ed Senlors gathered together for the1r last school year We lost one member of the class Connle Sharp but her absence was regalned when Goldena Reed Jomed our class Our class offlcers were pres1dent Donnxe VanBuren vlce presldent Arlen Wood secretary Shlrley McMorr1s treasurer jo Ann Glaser and sponsor Mr Smmth Our class party was a scavenger hunt We are lookmg forward to our Seruor tr1p the unlor Semor Banquet and other act1v1t1es at the end of the year We are also lookmg forward to Commencement Day It w11l be a happy day but It w1l1 brmg many sad thoughts We have fmally reached the end of our hlgh school days and we w1sh lots of luck to the Senlors 1n the Class of 1953 Class Wlll We the members of the Senlor Class of 1952 bemg of sound bodles and mmds do hereby w1ll and bequeath our proud possesslons and ab1l1t1es to the underclassmen I Doll1e Dunwoody do w1ll and bequeath my love for bookkeepmg to Shlrley Martln my ab1l1ty to get along wlth the teachers to Harry Rlley my gym su1t to Norma Snell and my seat on the bus to the one who gets there flrst I jo Ann Glaser do w11l and bequeath my love for roller skatmg to Emma Fmbree my basketball sult to Verna Houchlns my locker to who ever has nerve enough to clean lt out and my want1ng to glggle and talk in study hall to anyone who can escape the teacher s rovmg eye v ll ll 1 I Y . , I Y - 1 r 1 1 - 1 I 1 9 , . . 1 1 ll ' ll ' 1 1 1 Y . - , 1 ' , 1 , 1 , . . . , , .
