Illene Kramer and her seven chlldren talllng after her She told me she had f1nally married her old boy frlend from Wlsconsln I 1nv1ted her to the cafe where we could talk over old tlmes As we entered we saw what resembled a b1g brown bear s1tt1ng at one of the tables But after much close 1nspect1on we found It to be o Ann Glaser Looklng through her vell she told us that she had marrled her old boy frlend from Thompson and they had located a gold mme on thelr farm We fmally parted and I started on down the street just as I was passmg the cleanmg shop I heard a fam1l1ar volce I went 1n and there stood jaunlta Ragsdale She was weepmg s1lently I asked her what the matter was and she told me that her pr1ze poodle had been splashed wlth mud when crossmg the street and that she had brought h1m m to have h1m dry cleaned She told me that she was now workmg w1th a busmess flrm ln Hollywood as a prlvate secretary She also told me that she and Flnally I left jaun1ta and started across t.he street I was walkmg along readmg my paper when suddenly I heard a volce over a car rad1o maklng an announcement We have lnterrupted thls program to brmg you a speclal announcement Captam Dollxe Dunwoody has fmally brought her sh1p The U S S Melvm safely to shore Captam Dunwoody w1ll wxn many great honors from th1s brave duty to her country I llstened for a few mmutes and then contxnued on my way further down the street just as I passed the funeral chapel the hearse drove up and whom do you thmk I saw cllmblng out but Rlchard Houchms He told me that he was now married to an old gn-1 fl-lend and had three llttle mortlclans I left h1m after quxte a talk and went lnto Pollard s Drug Store There the booths were crammed full of school klds just as lt used to be I lmgered long over my bottle of coke llstenmg to some of thelr talk That teacher of mme If she weren t so smart she wouldn t be up to all of my tr1cks When I try to wrlte shorthand notes she takes them and keeps them m her scrapbook Yesterday she caught me chewmg bubble gum and she made me glve her a p1ece After talkmg to the klds a while I found out that thelr teacher was M1ss Goldena Reed just when we were about to xndulge m a deep conversahon I turned around and saw two llttle black headed glrls dolng the Charleston Watchmg them and coach1ng them was Mrs Shlrley Cahcott IMCMOITISJ We talked a whlle and I learned that she and her husband were llVlI1g ln Moberly Q J I D , . - - u ' I ' r 9 I! , .
