Hi-Y Club The Hi-Y Club stands for clean mind, clean speech, and thought. Only boys of high character may belong. Its purpose is to render service to the school and community. The hall monitor system was used again this year. An award of live dollars is given each year by the club to the senior boy ranking high in scholarship who has a good school spirit. The Hi-Y Club this year has grown from seventeen to thirty members under the capable leadership of Mr. Manaugh. Student Council The purpose of the Student Council is to give the school body representation in an organization working to promote the welfare of the school from the standpoint of the students. This year the council sold War Bonds during the Victory Loan. On each Monday War Stamps were sold in the home rooms. The council provided some interesting as- sembly programs.
