Juniors In nineteen hundred forty-three we entered Madison High School, a group of very green but enthusiastic freshmen. A-fter adjusting ourselves to the ways of high school life, we elected John Hoffman, Robert Clegg, Theresa Kasper, and Charles Orrill as our class officers. Our able Student Council representatives were Phil Kahn and Patricia Bersch. We were honored when Marianna Johann and Bill Moorhead were chosen the first freshmen King and Queen of Madison High School for a number of years. One member of the class, Carolyn Schnaitter, was included in the cast of the school play, Thr Home Front. Our views were expressed on the Student Council in our sophomore year by Frank Armstrong, Marianna Johann, Charles Orrill, Carolyn Schnaitter, Bill Moorhead, and Phyllis Strong. The dramatic ability of two members of the class was revealed when Bob Clegg and Charles Orrill were given parts in the school play. Bill Moorhead, Frank Armstrong, and James Landry were awarded ilnterscholastic Scholarships for having bet- ter than average grades for three semesters and a major letter in sports. To finance the annual Junior-Senior Prom, we engaged in a number of activities as juniors. Selling schedule pencils, Cub basketball pins, and taking magazine subscrip- tions netted over a three hundred dollar profit-a total unsurpassed by any other junior class. Again we were well represented on the Student Council. This year the represen- tatives were Bob Clegg, Theresa Kasper, Judy Wingham, and Robert Cheatham. Major roles in the school play were given to Theresa Kasper and Ruth Irwin. Beside winning the Interclass Basketball Tourney, the junior class boasts five members of the Hrst team- Bill Moorhead, Phil Kahn, Bob Clegg, James Landry, and Robert Cheathgzfx' Our class oflicers were: President .,,.,. . . . . . ,Patsy McDonald Vice President. . , ,........
