We, the graduating class of '66, dedicate our Ma- hisco to Mrs. Sue Wiatt for the unending devotion she has shown towards our class. Without her help as a sen- ior sponsor, our year would not have been nearly as suc- cessful. Mrs. Wiatt’s dedication to our class goes far be- yond the call of duty. She has striven to give us her very best and to prepare us for the road ahead. Mrs. Wiatt, we will never forget all that you have done for us - both as a teacher and as a friend. 5

JERKY SELPH, Editor Fellow-Students, The class of ’66 has witnessed many significant changes on The Southern Scene.” Not only was Mad- ison High School integrated racially for the first time, but there also were many instructional aids from the federal government. These new materials include mi- croscopes, new furniture, new books, secretarial aids, and over-head projectors. The bounty of federal aid was also given to students. This was evident by the new GTO’s sitting outside our hallowed halls. Another pro- gram, Vocational Office Education, for short VOE, was designed to provide seniors training consisting of orga- nized classroom learning experiences in specific office activities. Old and new, the things that go to make a substan- tial school program are evident at MadisonHighSchool. Our fervent wish is that they may make a better view of education prevail all over The Southern Scene.” Jerry Selph Editor-in-Chief ’66 Mahisco
