Seniors Sponsors Mrs. Ashley Hardee Mrs. Louise Browning OFFICERS: President, Junior Falk: Vice-President, Glen Smith; Secretary, La Nora Zipperer; Treasurer, Fred Bartlem Footprints It's been a long road from that first day when you, as freshman, registered for Madison High School; and now your footprints are turned out of these hallowed doors and into the world. Great and enduring memories go with you--ones that you will cherish all your life--memories of the excitement of getting your Class rings; of Homecoming and the Moonglow dance sponsored by the Seniors; working together on the Annual with deadlines to meet; ordering invita- tions; the Junior-Senior Prom; May Fete; Senior Trip; Graduation and the dance following--and let's not for- get those little personal memories that you all have. But there have been even more important things than your memories when you consider that, with each footprint through your school, some mark and some addition has been left to remind those who fol- low that this year's Seniors have passed this way. You have had not only fun and pleasure, but you have displayed qualities of leadership, cooperation, a sense of responsibility, and high ideals which will serve as an inspiration to those who will follow your footprints. Juniors OFFICERS; President, Johnny Plant; Vice-President, Tenna Bunker; Secretary, Susan McCoy; Sergeant at Arms, Charles Armstrong and Buddy Ragans Mrs. Alice Brown Sponsors Mrs. Clare Morrow Mrs. Arlene Norris Footsteps The junior is the soul of the school for it is he who has his footsteps most firmly planted in Madi- son High School. Not the ruler, nor the greenhorn, he is the worker. He does not receive the attention and teasing given to the younger students or the glory or the privileges of the Senior. As Juniors, Madison High boys and girls work together. They begin to think of the future-- college? Work? Marriage? But these thoughts are lost in a maze of chemistry notes. Certainly they will have many moments to remember. Editing the Devil's Tale , our school paper, the magazine sale, which was very suc- cessful, and taking part in the Junior play, Class Ring are memories they will cling to for a long time. They'll remember most though that lovely night in April when dressed in shimmering gown and handsome tux, they will present to the senior—The Prom. The Junior, perhaps, possesses more than any other class the Spirit that makes him the worker of Madison High School. [ 22 ]
