MR. GRIFFIN BISHOP Superintendent Senior Class of 1959 Madison High School Madison, Florida Dear Seniors: I offer hearty congratulations to each of you upon graduation from Madison High School. In this day of Explorers, Sputniks, talk of space travel, and other tilings that leave us with a feeling of bewilderment, I challenge you to these three tasks: 1. Have faith in yourself, in the knowledge and experience that you have and can secure in the years ahead. 2. Have faith in your Fellow Man, your neighbors, friends, and associates. 3. Have faith in Almighty God. School people, parents and friends are justly proud of the progress you have made. Keep up the good work. Sincerely, Dear Seniors: May I offer you congratulations upon your greatest accomplishment to date—the graduation from high school. This is not an accomplishment in that you have reached a goal or acquired success. But is an accomplish- ment because you have now laid the foundation, constructed the frame- work, upon which you can in future years build your life. Your degree of success will depend on your ability, based on this foundation, to make the right decisions and choices in the opportunities that you encounter, and your determination, based on this framework, to apply your efforts completely to the construction of an edifice of which you will be proud. Best wishes for your future years, and I hope that the days spent at M.H.S. have furnished the groundwork for a long and successful life. MR. BURCH CORNELIUS Principal Sincerely, [ 6 ]
