National Honor Society The National Honor Society encourages character, scholarship, leadership, and ser- vice. The members try to create a greater desire to learn and to bring about more en- thusiasm for Scholastic achievement. Latin Club The Latin Club, sponsored by Mr. Mehelic, is one of the many extra-curricular activities which serves a very important purpose in our school. It functions both as an educational and entertaining activity, and it increases the Latin stu- dents' appreciation of the Roman culture and its in- fluence on Western civilization. G.A.A. The Girls' Athletic Asso- ciation was organized to promote sportsmanship as well as to promote co-op- eration. It stresses the im- portance of health and education. G.A.A. has as its sponsors, Mrs. Long and Miss Daggert. TROJAN FLASHES The Trojan Flashes Staff consists of a group of tal- ented students who are interested in furthering their knowledge of journ- alism . They display cre- ativity, as well as learning the basis of running a newspaper. The sponsors are Mr. Gardner and Mrs. Meyer. Student Council The Student Council was designed to better various relationships within the school. It tries to make the school, in itself, a better institution of education.
