One effectual means of attaining this objective is to learn to be enthusiastic about life. Nothing great in this world was ever achieved without enthusiasm. Write this lesson in your heart. If you do, your work will never become drudgery and your youth will endure. You will have a driving power which will bring you that success you now desire, for you will believe in the value of your work and enjoy doing it. It is the sincere wish of the members of the faculty and myself that the years ahead will be profitable ones, and as time moves on, you can look back over a life well spent. VALERIE K. Editorial Staff The Madisonian Staff With the help of their sponsors, this group of sen- iors have worked diligently to bring you your 1966 yearbook. Throughout the year they have been busy taking pictures, or- ganizing ideas, and putting the yearbook to- gether. These seniors have spent many long and tedious hours working on this book. The Madison- ian staff wishes to express their thanks in appre- ciation to the pa- tient sponsors who have helped to make this year- book a success. The National Honor Society is composed of sopho- mores, juniors, and seniors who maintain a MB,f average or bet- ter. The members try to create a great- er desire to learn. They also work to bring about more en- thusiasm for scho- lastic achievement. Officers for 1965-'66 are seated from left to right Georgann Vasiloff, Treas- urer; Peggy Jackson, Sec- retary; Mr. Loy, Faculty Sponsor; Cathy Scott, President; and Robert Robbins, Vice President. National Honor Society Honor Society members operated a coat check during basketball season. The money earned from this project was used to help finance the two trips made this year by the organization. As a part of the initiation ceremonies, members modeled clothes from various foreign countries which were brought by the guest speaker, Mr. Johnson. Throughout the year the members of the Trojan Staff write and publish five regular editions of the paper and one special senior issue. The Trojan serves to inform the student body of coming events, sport events, and general news concerning the school. Anyone wishing to be- come a member of the Trojan Staff must sub- mit an essay to Miss Waters, who sponsors the organization. Mem- bership is based on the students' ability to write.
