Senior Class Prophecy Year in and year out, when the time has come to read the Prophecy, the same style is used. The Prophecy Committee of 1957 has decided that it is time for a change. You've all heard of the legend of Bridie Murphy. It seems that people living today might possibly have had other lives in other generations. Our committee has done quite a bit of research, and we have found that each of the Seniors in the Class of '57 have lived before. We thought that we should let you in on what you did in your other lives, so sit back. Seniors, and close your eyes, for you are in for a big surprise. Monsieur Charles de La Veach, the famous psychiatrist, has been quite helpful to us in getting the facts straight. We would like to acknowledge his assistance before we begin our story. Our story unfolds in the court of Queen Green, known as just plain Judy this century. All of the hustle and bustle of activity has been caused by the vast preparations of a great wedding feast of the Queen's cousin, Princess Sheila Hadley to the most noble Lord of the Kingdom, William of the House of Papa. The person who has been honored with the large task of making the wedding the greatest ever in the court is Lady Helen Riskovsky, who came from a country away across the sea just to perform this magnificent duty. She and her scores of scribes, Catherine Haiselup, Sally Lou Davis, Vivian Dixon, Brenda Hemingway, Roberta Compton, and Doris Kraley, have just completed the long list of guests to whom the invitations are to be sent. Some of the invitations have gone far across the sea to such royal guests as the Polish Count Wojcik, Princess Petrosky of Peoria, the great Russian noble, David Hrysko, Wilhelm Smith (known to his 20th century friends as Bill ), who is a famous man- ufacturer of wooden shoes in Holland, and the German Premier, Joseph Zimmerman. But the whole court is worried about the invitations reaching their destinations because of the raids made on the high seas by Bluebeard Sekora and his crew of the pirateship, Baby Doll . Some of the most noted members of the crew are Hill Billy Dillon, Gentleman Jim Massie, Bouncing Bobby Graves, Big Bill Story, Long John Melton, Dennis the Menace Owens, Alligator Alvin Valentine, Wee Willie Gushleff, and Don Ericson, the great grandnephew of the famous Leif Ericson. But King Donald Williams has sent his royal navy led by Patrick (I always get my man) Williams, who has earned his reputation by always getting his man. Duchess Carolyn Bradley, of one of the oldest families of Great Britain, has consented to design the bride's wedding gown. Because of this great task she will be unable to create the costumes of the Queen's Dancers who wanted so to have a more beautiful set of costumes than the Arabian Dancers. These Arabian Dancers, Rosemary LeRose, Jo Ann Riddle, Mary McClure, Maggie Petty, Jo Ann Pabst, and Norma Tanning, are known for their mystic dance throughout the world. The Queen's Dancers, bossed by Olga (Gold Tooth) Mitalovich, are really worried about the Arabian Dancers. These dancers of the Queen, Sandra Rose, Meda Ruby, Joanna Wichman, Glenda Morgan, and Zenobia Owens are going to work day and night so that their dance will be the best ever performed in the palace. They will work extra hard because of the prize given the best dancing group. The group that pleases the newlyweds most will be given their choice of husbands from the young men of the court, James Robertson, Baxter Crockarell, Charles White, Stanley O'Lander, Kenneth Walton, and Kenneth Hooper. The decorating of the huge palace has been put into the hands of Betty Jean James, Janice Riley, and Evelyn Jennings, the three foremost decorators of that century. Dexterous Donald Macek, whose fabulous showplace decorations are famous all over Europe and Asia, will furnish the decorations for the wedding without any charge whatsoever. Ronald Rembrandt Shaver will do a life-size portrait of the royal bride and groom which will be hung in the ballroom the night of the wedding. The Queen of France, Glenda (Marie Antoinette) Dacus, has been asked to bring along some Compliments Of DALEY'S PAINTS WALLPAPER 417 Madison Avenue - T.R. 6-2453 Madison, Illinois 29

of her famous French models, noted for their faces and figures the world over. These models, Betty Gitcho, Jeanette Lubak, Betty Mohon, Jeanette Rokita, Janet Smith, Mary Ann Rozycke, and Barbara Cross, have been highly praised by kings, princes, lords, dukes, counts, and nobles all over the world. Contessa Maria Louisa Reilly of Spain has been invited to bring quite a few Spanish celeb- rities with her. Everyone is dying to meet Chiquita Johnson, (You all know her today as Jackie) who is the most famous fortune teller of Spain. Everyone is also anticipating the famous Flamenco Dancer, Sharon Boyd, who is supposed to be a great rival of the Arabian Dancers. A group of Spanish seranaders, David Hodges, William Banks, and Roger Griggs, are coming also. The greatest grape crusher in Spain, John Modrusic, has consented to work on some really good wine for the occasion. But one thing went wrong. The Contessa could not bring her little jester, Forresto O'Bear, with her. One night while he was out serenading Chiquita, he had a little ac- cident with a flower pot that had fallen from the window. Sir Thomas Grimes, the renowned scholar was to be invited but he had a few more theories to work on, so he would not be able to make it for the first week of the festivities. But while the court was getting ready for the activities, the bride had things to occupy her mind. She had to help her maid of honor, Nancy Toffant, choose a dress and an escort and she also had to help the little flower girl. Rose Marie Bogleff, with the same problems. The groom was busy, too. He was having trouble with his best man, his brother Lord Joseph Papa, who wanted to escort three girls down the aisle instead of the customary one. The whole court was happy that Wayne King's orchestra was able to secure Hamiet Bluiett to play the clarinet for the guests. All of this commotion caused much talk throughout the rest of the world. In a far distant country, there was a riot. King Scrum and Queen Abernathy would not allow their subjects to attend the wedding. The head executioner, Dan Graville, was ordered to chop off many heads because several of the people were disobedient and were planning to go to the wedding anyway. The king and queen decided to ask some of their subjects what their reasons were for wanting to go to the wedding, when the country that they lived in was too nice to leave for any reason. Prince William Ashford wanted to go to see all the pretty girls, especially the Arabian Dancers. Little Shirley Jackson wanted to see the men of the court play a new game called basketball. Bruce Bennett wanted to see what kind of food they served at Queen Green's court. George Gocheff wanted to see how curly the king's hair was. Janet Krauskopf wanted to go because she was just plain nosy . Judy Lybarger wanted to go to see if anybody had any hair that was redder than hers. Pat Dittrich and Teresa Kraus wanted to go to bring a man back. There was a shortage of men in their kingdom. It seems a female bandit by the name of Bloody Mary Jo Jones had captured all of the good looking young men in the kingdom. Kenneth Spalding wanted to see the Hot Rod horses that they had. Pat DeBow wanted to go to bring back her fiance, Morris Barefield, who had been spending too much time with all the dancers. These were all very good reasons and the king and queen just didn't know what to do. So they decided to ask the advice of the Prime Minister, Don Price, but he had already gone to the wedding to keep a date with the Contessa. The Queen suggested calling in the Three Wise Men, Ray Allen, Charles Bridick, and Charles Hall, but they had also gone, but you can bet that they didn't go just to study. The king and queen later learned that they had made dates with the French models. In another desperate attempt to get advice they decided to go to see the scholars of the court, but the scholars were very busy. Jennell King was trying to find a formula for a trans- parent test tube; Charles Hampton was trying to prove that the earth was a triangle; Beverly Trobaugh was inventing a new system of writing by longhand, to replace the old system of short- hand; Larry Webb was trying to find out what it was that he was supposed to prove; and Carrol Thompson was trying to prove to the king and queen that they should go to the wedding or they wouldn't be invited to any more weddings. You guessed it! They finaily went and became such good friends with Queen Green and her court that they decided to combine their kingdoms into one great big one called MADISON. P. S.
