To Our Alma Mater To the school that is known o’er the country As the home of basketball fame. We owe our happiest memories. Since to M. H. S. we came. That sunny day in September. Our Contracts as Freshies” we signed. Stuck through that first year never fearing Till the second story we d climbed. On reaching the second landing, We were greeted with shouts and roars, We were no longer pitiful ‘ Freshies” We’d become “high-hatted” Sophomores. But being Sophomores soon grew tiresome. So we ascended the third flight of stairs And found that it held many pleasures. As well as worries and cares. This last year has been the dearest. I guess ’cause it's almost gone, But no matter what follows after. Our climbing of stairs must go on. A Senior Girl. Page Eleven
