amf afmf as ,aff sam jf! I. It looks like R. Reichert is all ready To Take off for Oklahoma! 2. Golly what a mess! IT doesn'T seem possible that all of Those bags go in that bus! 3. With their name Tap- ed on The side of The bus, The band is about ready to go. 4. It looks like some of The girls are really happy To be leaving! ' 5. The last Ngood-byesn are being said with even a few Tears added. 6. This placque repre- sents The honor The band recelved ln Oklahoma, by placing first place as the most outstanding band ln The million dollar parade. The band left for The Tri-State Music Festival in Enid, Oklahoma on May 2 and returned on May 7. This festival was a national contest for high schools of all classes. You can imagine what a great honor They have given our community by being chosen The outstanding band in The million dollar parade. They also received firsts in marching, sight-reading, concert, and ln- spection. The seemingly endless hours of practice paid off Triple-fold. Like previous band Trips, There was also The fun after The honors were won. Sunburns, sweatshirts from The college in Enid, new clothes, and southern drawls all came home with The band To help Tell The story of The leisure hours. Once again, our congratulations miXBd with a Touch of The emotlon-envy. You, The members of The band, have attained many goals which we have not. You are safely nearing adulthood under The guiding, encouraging, watchful eye of Bill. We know That you will continue To be a merit and a credit To your school and community. 86
