The play was a psycological drama based on the following plot: A young man, Henry Abbott,worked his way into the home of an elder- ly woman, Mary Herrles. He proceeded to try and drlve her crazy while he sold her art collection for his own benefit. In the final act, Mary pulls herself together and induces a man from the bank who had come to see Mr. Abbott to take a note to the pollce for her, and, once again, justice prevails. 70
