Mrs. Benona Dawson English B.A., Univ. of California W English M B.A., Reed Coll. Curriculum Section Expands This year the Curriculum Section has been revised to contain both the faculty and the curriculum program. Department Chairmen are pictured slightly larger in each area even though no written introductions are given be- low their pictures. Headed by the Curriculum Vice-Principal, Sue Bush- nell, the 14 departments of the school are staffed with 96 teachers. Even though a faculty member may have taught in more than one department, his or her picture appears in the area where the most classes are taught. for the first time in Madison's history, the latest de- gree earned by the teacher is printed below their picture and also the name of the institution where it was ob- tained. The Curriculum Section has expanded from six pages in 1958, eight in 1959, ten in 1960, 12 in 1961 to 30 this year. Federalist personnel believe this is progressing to- wards one of the maior aims of yearbook production- to give an educational history of the school year as com- pletely as space permits. Madison's Educational Enrichment Program has ex- panded from four classes the first year to 22 this year. The purpose of the E.E. Program is to help the academic- ally able approach their capacities in various courses.
