Thirty-eight members entered the Ml-IS hall of higher learning in the fall of '52. The Greenhorns were initiated on September 17. Girls were attired in overalls and flour-sack shirts, while the boys were decked out in dresses and high-heeled shoes. What sights and confusion prevailed that day! The closing event of the day was a picnic on Humes Field. Another event that was very im- portant to the freshmen and soph- omores was the first-place trophy they won in the tournament held at Battle Creek.
