Cinderella, Brenda McFarland, was transformed from a scullery maid to a beautiful maiden. The Prince, Jeff Terry, fell in love, married her, and they lived happily ever after. Novice Coach Greg Nyboer takes time out to bandage the injured finger ofplayer Ned Campbell. nnual games find veterans, faeult victors Culminating great rivalries, the has-been and faculty basketball teams defeated the will-be's and the seniors. Mr. Jim Sutton's 26 tallies aided the teachers in pulling through with a 67-64 victory over the senior squad. Always behind a few points, the seniors finally tied their opponents 62-62 with 2:15 left in the game, but with a final surge of power, the Faculty Fumblers came out on top. Max Minnick coached the upperclass team while Mr. Phil Buck led the educators. The veteran ball players defeated the younger team members with a 85-73 victory in the annual Has Been-Will Be game. Q V V f f L I! , W Senior Beth Harmsen, portraying Maria, comforts the children during a storm by singing songs. The first musical play staged at MH, The Sound of Music , was presented on two consecutive nights last spring by the Music Department, under Mr. James Patton. Pirates Brad Hiatt and Beth Harmsen por- trayed the leading characters, Colonel VonTrapp and Maria. The play centered around the arri- val of Maria in the VanTrapp house- hold. Her astounding attitude toward life completely transformed the fami- ly and created a love among them all. The castls ability to radiate the emo- tion of the story left the audience with traces oftears. U ? fx Maria leans down to give Captain Von Trapp a farewell kiss as she prepares to leave. 23
