Upperclassmen finish school with studies, senior activities The class of 1971 began the year together even before school started by selling concessions at all football games held on the MH gridiron. Here senior vendors earned money to Iinance activities throughout the year. Take Her-She's Minen was the comedy presented for two nights by senior actors and actresses. Mr. Wil- liam Jennings, who sponsored the senior class, directed the presenta- tion. The Christmas holidays found the upperclassmen busily preparing for the Senior Christmas Dance. Under the supervision of chairmen Jeff Jones and Bill Lucas, the theme of Twas the Night Before Christmas was brought out in the decorations. Tac Lewis provided music for the semi- formal affair. Still in the holiday spirit, the 23-member Senior Executive Council gave S50 to WHUT for their Stamps for Toys campaign. One Big Step for Buck-One Great Step for Pirates was the senior slogan during Scarlet and Black Week. Throughout the year, various skits were given by spirited seniors at pep sessions. Leading the class through its final year were Bruce Pearson, president, Jeff Jones, vice-president, Gwen Keith, secretary, and Denise Morris, treasurer. The class chose navy and white as graduating colors and the daisy as the flower. Kelton Dickey, Lew Cotton, and Ike Jackson enjoy reserve action before the AHS game. eww SENIOR EXECUTIVE COUNCIL-fcounter-clockwisej Brad Hiatt, Bruce Sheiletha McNeal, Fred McGuire, Vicki Wetzel, Eric Kempher, Bill Lucas, Pearson, Lynn Mickey, Tim Maley, Donna Zirkle, Steve Gourley, Elaine Nedra Mauck, Cindy Moore, Jeffjones, L.
