Darlene Jaquess, yearbook queen, is attended by Linda Gray at left and Marilyn Filbrandt at right. First Yearbook Queen Chosen This year the 1962 Treasure Chest staff initiated a new tra¬ dition at Madison Heights by sponsoring their yearbook-queen contest. The 1962 Yearbook Queen reigned over the soc-hop following the Warren Central football g a m e . Each candidate wore a corsage of white carna¬ tions, and the queen received a bouquet of American Beauty roses. The fourteen homerooms with the highest percentages of annual sales nominated the candi¬ dates, and the twelve hundred stu¬ dents who bought annuals voted for the queen. The annual sales, the year¬ book-queen contest, and the soc- hop were all a great success; and the Annual Staff hopes to continue this new tradition in future years.
