Parisienne” Sets Gay Mood for Prom As th ey first entered the softly lit, exotically decorated park through the Arc de Carousel and saw the magnificent fountain, all who attended the 1962 Junior- Senior Prom knew that they would always remember the Soiree Parisienne” of May 18, 1962. The fountain, glittering with a rain¬ bow of colors, the old-fashioned band- box, with a canopy and white picket fence, and the sidewalk cafe -- all helped to complete the picturesque setting of Paris. While the Debonaires play ed such numbers as I Love Paris and April in Paris , an array of elegant formals swished through the park. When the clock tolled eleven, Sandy McCormick ascended the red-carpeted steps to be crowned the 1962 Prom Queen by Lucky Deck, Junior Class President. Attendants: Pam Carmack and Ann Bayer
