Highlighting the Homecoming festivities, sponsored by Student Council, was the crowning of the lovely queen, Grace Roberson. Her court included Barbara Buntin, Janice Swinford, and Carmen Goodrich. The main attraction of the beautiful Senior Christmas Dance held in our front lobby was the announcing of the queen, Brenda Hiday. She is crowned by President Dave Roberts as Richard Chapman, her escort, looks on. Pretty Diane Cunningham flashes her happy smile at Steve West as he hands her the traditional bouquet of roses of Queen of the Sweetheart Ball, sponsored by DeMolay. Madison was also proud to have Louann Cochran as her attendant. ROYALTY REIGNS Reigning over Scarlet and Black Week are Penny Boyes, Miss Scarlet, and Dave Roberts, Mr. Black. The other candidates were: Pam Tunget, Bob Thomas, Tim Bar¬ ker, and Lynn Clevenger. 28
