DEDICATICJN mr Because of their affectionate in- terest and sympathetic understand- ing of each student's problem, be- cause of their inspirational compan- ionship and able leadership in both work and play, because of their untiring efforts to keep before us the highest ideals of life, and be- cause they truly represent the spirit of the School, so dear to all of us, we, the members of the Staff, in a spirit of profound gratitude and admiration, dedicate this, the eigh- teenth volume of the NIONELISON, to- STEWARD AND MRS. CECILIA A. DOYLE F 0 R E W Q R D l l l HE sands of time run thin, and what is past is gone forever. just as the sunset dims to dusk, and the twilight deepens into night, our memory of what has been fades and slowly darkens into the oblivion of forgetfulness. But, if some chance ray of light were to pierce the darkness, or some reminiscences were to assail the forgotten recesses of our mind, night would become day, and forgetfulness memory. Thus, it is the purpose of this publication to serve as a stimulus to awaken to our conscious thoughts the latent bliss of our tranquil youth. This, the eighteenth volume of the IWONELISON, is proffered to you as a treasure chest of recollections, as an infallible medium for backward glances into the time clouded vista of the past, for between these covers runs riot the joyous happiness of that which cannot be recalled or recaptured, of that which is so dear to us-that brief but glorious era called youth.
