OUR SCHOOL OFFICIALS Recent events have proved that the future progress of the world hinges upon the future of public education, the sole guarantee of the preservation and continua- tion of American Democracy. Virginia stands on the threshold of a great educa- tional awakening. The youth of Amherst County are indeed fortunate in having their future entrusted to the able leadership of Mr. A. J. V - I X TYLER FULCHER Since Mr, Fulcher came to Madison Heights in 1943. our school life has been greatly enriched. The greatest service which any teacher can render his students is to furnish them with an ideal. As our principal, Mr. Fulcher has gained our undying admira- tion as a counselor and leader, our highest respect as a Christian gentleman, and our lasting esteem as a friend. His obvious sincerity of purpose has inspired all of us toward higher and greater attainments. It is our desire that Madison Heights High School will enjoy many years of prosperity under the able direction of Mr. Fulcher. p
