To the Graduating Class of 1949 Our 1946 graduates were told that they were leaving high school With the war Won but the struggle to Win the peace just begun . After three years, you are graduating with the world still in confusion. My advice to all of you is to con- tinue your education. Some menibers of your class will go on to an institution of higher lerning, but all should study and develop an understanding of the problems of our time. This is not a safe World in which to live, and an informed electorate is needed as never before. The people of our land, to their everlasting credit, care more about that for which they live than for the mere act of living. You and all of us must, with the enthusiasm of the fanatic, believe in our doctrine of the dignity of man and do your part in making it an article of export.
