STEPHEN IN MAKING this record of the school year 193Ofl931, we wish to mention those townsfpeople who have furthered our endeavors and worked for the best interests of our school-the Board of Education. Although we seldom come into contact with them, we know that they are doing all in their power to make Madison East High a school which we are proud to call our alma mater, and we wish to recognize their services. At present their eilorts are devoted to the building of an addition to our school, a wing which will increase the floor space two hundred per cent. A printing course was established with Mr. Stephen Oellerich as instructor. Other new faculty members were: Miss Eunice Ransom and Miss Florence VVendt in the commercial department, Miss Gertrude Maurer as an English instructor, Mr. Scott Hake as a science teacher and assistant football coach, and Miss Ruby Gerhardt who succeeded Mr. Haas in the department of guidance. Miss Martha Engel returned to the science department after a year's absence.
