This season had only one blimish (in the regular season) coming through with a ten win two loss season (9-1 for the regular season) coming up from a five win five loss season which in turn came up from a zero win ten loss season. Like I said, we have had humiliating defeat. But yet within two years we have come back to go to state!!! With high spirits of the team and the fine coaching staff, Madill came forward to win District and traveled even further to win Bi-District. Then suddenly the crys of victory were sumitted with the Milwood game. The state playoffs. The crowd was filled with speculation but hope was still in their hearts. The minutes ticked like hours. The second half seemed to be an expectant victory grounds for the wildcats but when the smoke cleared the Wildcats had fell 33 to 14 to the number one ClassA Milwood Falcons. Defeat, heart breaking defeat had pierced the ears and minds of the Wildcats. The long ride home was no to be even longer than ever before with the mistakes that had happened and the fantasies of what could have happened with the score reversed and how they could have gone on to be state champs all running through their minds. But the further down the road they got the reality of defeat slowly seeped in. Now the season has ended and there are nothing more than the crys of victory for next year and the memories of the ones in the past. v4lfij 1 4 'W lS7 v£ 124 I «0 v Coach Gibbs, D. Elwood, T. M. Ayres, Principal Another school year has passed quickly. Students, faculty and staff have cooperated to make it one of my most enjoyable years with the school. I would like to commend the student body for their wonder- ful school spirit and for the pride they have in their school. We are proud of our athletic groups who have carried the Wildcat banner and those of you have stood by to cheer them on to victory. We are equally proud of those who have worked hard to excell academically. This year’s faculty and staff have been most cooperative with the administration and on behalf of the Board of Education and myself, I want to say ‘thank you’ for your unselfish devotion to education, often without proper monitary gain. This has been a most rewarding year. CLOVOS HULL I want to pay tribute to our Annual Staff and Sponsor for their many efforts in presenting us with a School Annual in which we can be proud. Many hours were spent in making this a reality. To our students and faculty I want to say thanks” for helping to make this the best school year, overall, that I have seen in Madill Junior-Senior High School. This has been a year of accomplishment for us. To our Seniors, I want to wish the very best in the life ahead and hope they will always have fond memories of their years in this school. .yyy cs CHoarcl C777emker Dan Coe, John Knight, Robert Watts, Leroy Davis, John Pierce. 121 Alan Bennett Instrumental Music Lula Bolin English IV and Speech Russell Bradley Driver, Edu., and Asst.
