MR. A. A. JOHNSON Principal Congratulations to the Wildcat Yearbook staff and the sponsor for preparing this volume of 1956. You have done a wonderful job and have spent many hours of your time in making it possible for all of us to enjoy this book through the years. Although the returns you receive will not be material, the knowledge and satisfaction that you had a part in something that will always be enjoyed by so many people will be a blessing to you. Your service for your school and community will be re- membered for years to come. You, the students of Madill Senior High School, are fortunate to live in a com- munity of people who are interested in your welfare as individuals and as groups. A new school building and its furnishings have been provided for your needs. Your superintendent, the board of education, and the people of this community have worked untiringly and cooperatively in making this plant possible. I know you are pleased that others are interested in you. Your fine spirit and enthusiasm in this new environment indicate that you will accomplish great things for yourselves and this community. May the friendships made while here be lasting and impressive. Best wishes for happy and useful lives. Sincerely, CZ' CL.

MR. M. C. COLLUM, Superintendent Message: Society is interested in the quality of the person graduating from high school quite as much as in his academic work. The quality of the person is, how- ever, not solely an outcome of academic learning. The personal traits which are esteemed—courage, cooperation, dependability, resourcefulness, attitudes, self- reliance, unselfishness, and the characteristics which make for good human relation- ships, are all qualities that are learned. The compiling of this yearbook by the Madill High School has contributed to this phase of education. Many individuals, in fact, every faculty member and student in the high school have made a contribution. However, special recognition should go to Mrs. 0. E. Seely, and the Annual Staff for most of the work. They are to be commended for a job well done. May the joy that comes to all in doing something worthwhile be theirs and the feeling of satisfaction in their accomplishment grow as the years pass.
