He has been teaching at Madera High for twelve years and was a Freshman Class Advisor. Mr. Hobbs attended Southwestern State University at Weatherford, Oklahoma. He majored in industrial arts and minored in P.E. One of the greatest honors Mr. Hobbs received in college was being recognized in Who's Who in American Colleges in 1956. He also won All-Conference fullback in 1955- 1956. FRESHMAN ADVISORS In these days of women’s lib more and more male students are finding out the value of boys cooking, taught by MISS SUSAN VEEH at Madera High School. Her students, when finished with the course, are able to prepare almost anything without much difficulty. Miss Veeh instructs such classes as Bachelor Living, and Home Economics | Clothing. Miss Veeh was also the Freshman Class Advisor. While in college she earned a B.A. in Home Economics. She enjoys such hobbies as refinishing furniture, swimming, and cooking.

Mr. Barry Crow is Madera High's Freshman Learning Coordinator. He is the one with the job that always promises to be interesting. He gets to introduce all the freshmen to the rules and regulations of our school. Among other things, Mr. Crow developed the pep and cheer program and is responsible for the department awards. Before coming to Madera, Mr. Crow attended Fresno State University where he majored in Social Science and History. Mr. Crow received a B.A. in these subjects and also his teaching and administrative credentials. In his spare time, Mr. Crow likes to play leisurely games of tennis, fish, read, and enjoy gardening too.
