MAIN OFFICE Everyone is familiar with the Main Office to which all stu- dents come for absence slips and tardy slips which are ap- proved there Cin some casesj. Mrs. Pat Root is Mr. Thompson's secretary and Mrs. Edith Hughes is Attendance Clerk. Student as- sistants collect absence slips, en- ter them on a day card and sum- mon students to the office. GUIDANCE OFFICE The Guidance Office headed by Mr. Sanford Grover helps students with programming, as- sisting them to select an insti- tution of higher learning, con- sulting students regarding their various problems and acquaint- ing them vvith available scholar- ships and iobs. This office also administers psychological tests. Left: Mr. Sanford Grover and Marlen Martin. TREASUREITS OFFICE The Treasurer's Office handles all the money that goes through the school. Business Manager Mr. Leslie Beckman takes care of the teachers' supplies, Mrs. Car- men Gallegos is the secretary and Mrs. Eulema Jessing is the student body treasurer. SCHOOL BOARD Chairman Dr. Ray Miles, Jack Desmond, William Frey, Clerk Elmo Del Bianco Wallace Emmert. MR. HARRY VOLLBORN Vice-Principal The vice-principal has the iob of evaluating the graduation credits for students transferring to, entering into, or graduating from Madera High School. ln addition to the afore mentioned duty, he helps seniors maintain graduation standards, helps with discipline, vvrites the daily bulletin and assigns work for teachers. MR. RINALDO WREN Dean of Boys Discipline is the chief duty and the most unpleasant of the many responsibilities of the Dean of Boys. The checking of at- tendance for both boys and girls, plus the developing of the school curriculum, which includes the formulation of classes and the assigning of teachers to different classes are some of his many jobs. MISS MARY JARDINE Dean of Girls The Dean of Girls has the job of working with the girls to develop leadership, poise, resourcefulness and responsibility, Miss Jardine is a friend to any girl who needs assistance. In girls' activities she likes to work in groups where she feels the girls are learning to work together.

HEALTH OFFICE The Health Office is very im- portant and is headed by Mrs. Lois Chambers, Health Co- ordinator. Mrs. Chambers' main iob is admissions and exclusions as relating to health. That is, she okays absence slips due to ill- ness, admitting or excluding the pupil to or from school.
