To raise funds for the Junior-Senior Prom, the juniors sold Coca Cola at two of the many football games played here. This proved to be successful, but not quite successful enough. They decided to present a Variety Show with talent from the whole student body. The jun- iors handled the business connected with the show and received half the proceeds. At the carnival, the junior king and queen were runners-up for the most script sold. The juniors gave the graduating class of 1947 their prom on June 10 at the high school gym. The theme was “A Chinese Garden.’

Welcoming the Freshmen at the Freshman-Sophomore Reception was the first activity of the sophomore class. The theme of this gala affair was that of “Old Timers.’’ Those who attended dressed to fit the occasion. The next big event for the sophomore class was that of preparing for the carnival. Their booth which was decorated as a castle, won second place for the best-looking booth. At the Junior-Senior Prom a few members of the class helped to serve. This completed their activities for the year. Row 1, L. to R.: J. Williams, H. Van Alstyne, B. Thomas, D. Wattenbarger, J. Whitlock, J. Wright, B. Thompson, N. Torres, J. Whittaker, B. Wisener, R.
